Launch: Freezing Hair Iron at Pachouli Spa and Wellness

Gone are the days when the hair cuticles were closed using heat. The new technology is in the town with a freezing iron, which gives you lovely texture of your hair and leave you fall in love with it. The smooth effect stays till you do 2 washes and makes you look pretty with well manageable hair. The texture of the hair goes smooth and with regular seating can lead you to have a great look and feel of your hair.IMG_4040

 Launched in April at Pachouli Spa and Wellness by Preeti Seth, it is one of its own in the city. Freezing iron sessions depends on your hair texture and can range between 3-8 sessions with the costing of INR 2499 per session and INR 3499 per session if taken along a hair spa. It is advised to be repeated every 2-3 months, depending on the hair quality.

What is it?
 It is a hair waxing treatment where the hair is washed and then a wax is applied and a freezing iron, with ice is used to close the cuticles of the hair to treat breakage and hair fall and to get a hair growth. An advanced version of using the ice pack or ice towel, this technology makes sure to work on the quality and texture of the hair to leave them smooth and shiny.

 It takes around 1hour 20 mins to complete one seating where the hair is washed and then a wax is applied and made to set using an infrared machine. And then the iron is used with ice on it to give the smooth effect.

Our experience:

10 years back from now, no-one would have thought that the e-commerce and internet will become so big to the shopping freaks can now get their products at their doorsteps. I did my shopping with Jabong and came out really happy with my stuff from them.

  • I logged on to the website using my Facebook login, with the idea of selecting something that is really good and worth. As I was on a look for a good sports, walking shoes, I opted to search for those. Liked one picture and description of Puma Gray and Pink. Ordered it and was waiting eagerly for the pair.j
  • To my surprise, I got it in 2 days to the contrary of 5-6 days as written on the website. Now I understand, that they mention the maximum possible time at the time you are ordering, so that they never disappoint you but impress you with their swift and speedy delivery.
  • Opened my packet, but I got a little disappointed with the quality of the pair of shoe delivered. To which I decided to return it to Jabong. Just requested for the reversal/exchange on the website and the very next day got the guy to do a pickup of the packet.
  • Within 4-5 days I got my credit back in my account worth INR 1135 which was applicable to any purchases I make and that too was valid for a period of 6 months.
  • I took a break and then after good 10-15 days I ordered Philips Keratin Air Straightener worth INR 1598 from Jabong. Got this order again in 3-4 days.jj

Fashion Trendz Summer 2014

Change is the only constant, and this saying applies aptly to the Fashion Industry. Be the trends, styles or colors things change every season. Likewise the summer of 2014 has some trends that have soared in the spotlight. Besides the color of the season, there are some sassy and classy styles that will catch everyone’s fancy. we talk about the color of the season then “Orange is the new Black”. Be it apparels; accessories or footwear, orange is really dominating not only the fashion runway, but also the likes of your local stores.  If we continue in the arena of colors than mono tones are pretty in this season. The combination of white and black is going nowhere. So is the deal with pastels, summery hues of pinks, blues and yellows are doing the rounds quite much. Floral prints are in and so are geometric patterns. Big geometric patterns have ruled the runway for long, it is high time now that they find a place in your wardrobe. Designers are experimenting a lot with tribal prints also. They can be incorporated into your wardrobe if you love to experiment with geometrical shapes. To top it all, denim, the king of all fabrics is ruling this season big-time. You name it and you have it, jeans, dresses, shirts, skirts, shorts and the list go on. Denim is making waves this season.

If we move over to footwear then apart from high heels, which are an omnipresent phenomenon, low heeled pumps which were very popular in the 80’s have made a major comeback this season. Choose any color and you are good to go. They look great with knee length dresses.

As far as accessories are concerned, it is chunky, big and striking all the way. Ear cuffs, lacquered metal earrings in hues of red, silver, gold and black diamonds are very in. 2014 is pretty much the season of pile it on. Put on a big chunky bracelets, chains for a smart and chic look.

Flaunt your fashion senses again – India Bridal Fashion Week!

The week is expected to have the who’s who of the fashion industry showcasing their bridal and couture collections.


Till now, it has taken place in Mumbai but this time is being hosted in The Grand Hotel, South Delhi. The renowned names who have decided to be a part of this 6 day event include JJ Valaya, Raghuvendra Rathore, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Verma, Rohit Bal, Shantanu and Nikhil, Adarsh Gill, Ashima Leena, Meera and Muzaffar Ali, Rina Dhaka and Jyotsana Tiwari.


The event will also have a special bridal expo as The Bridal Luxury Couture Exposition running parallel. This Expo will have the best 65 designers with their wedding collection together with the big wedding planners to help you plan your wedding the best!

The Mumbai version of the event is said to be held later this year by featuring the Bollywood’s much-loved Manish Malhotra as well.
